Building a Scalable Platform for Permanent Carbon Removal
NULIFE’s modular hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) units are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing industrial sites and co-locate directly with major feedstock sources.

Building a Scalable Platform for Permanent Carbon Removal

NULIFE GreenTech is a Canadian climate-tech company delivering permanent, Isometric-verified carbon removal through hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL), a form of biomass carbon removal and storage (BiCRS).

We convert underutilized biomass feedstocks — including organic by-products, crop residues, and waste biomass — into carbon-rich biocrude for permanent geological storage.

Our first commercial HTL facility operates in Saskatoon, Canada. NULIFE’s modular design will be deployed at additional sites near major feedstock sources, enabling a growing network of facilities that deliver permanent carbon removal close to biomass supply.

NULIFE is developing co-products and future optionality for its biocrude, including upgrading into low-carbon fuels. A third party life cycle analysis (LCA) indicates that, when upgraded to renewable diesel, this pathway can achieve a carbon intensity of –14 g CO₂e/MJ.

Our Mission:

To deliver high-integrity, permanent carbon removal while unlocking new value from underutilized biomass feedstocks.

We focus on engineered removals that are measured, reported, and independently verified, providing confidence in the durability and transparency of every tonne.

Our Mission

How We Operate

NULIFE builds, owns, and operates (BOO) modular HTL facilities located close to major biomass feedstock sources. Each facility is designed to:

Integrate into real-world industrial settings.

Handle dry and wet biomass feedstocks with variable composition.

Connect to secure geological storage for long-term CO₂ sequestration.

Reducing Waste-management Burden for Feedstock Partners

Reducing Waste-Management Burden for Feedstock Partners

For major generators of biomass residuals, such as food processors, grain handlers, pulp and paper mills, or municipal biosolids facilities, this model also improves waste management. Co-located or nearby NULIFE facilities offer an alternative to landfilling, land application, or incineration, helping partners reduce disposal costs and preserve landfill capacity.

Over time, this BOO model enables a distributed network of facilities that can be scaled region by region, starting in Saskatchewan and expanding across Canada and beyond.

Independent Verification and Transparency

NULIFE is an Isometric-verified carbon removal supplier and a Frontier offtake partner, under a multi-year agreement covering 122,000 tons of permanent carbon removal between 2026 and 2030.

Each tonne of CO₂ stored is subject to rigorous monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV), with removals listed in the Isometric registry for public transparency.

For CDR buyers, this provides confidence in NULIFE removals:

  • High quality carbon credits backed by science
  • Permanent (+10,000 year durability)
  • Compliant with the ‘Isometric Standard’ and one the most scientifically rigorous protocols on the market: ‘Bio-oil Geological Storage’
  • ICVCM Core Carbon Principles (CCP) Credits
  • Third-party validation and verification of project and credit deliveries
  • Supported by publicly accessible records of credits
  • Buyer-safe credits with robust controls against double counting and uncertainty, backed by a buffer pool that protects against reversal risk.

Leadership Team

NULIFE is led by a team with deep experience in large-scale carbon projects, industrial systems, and technology commercialization.
